TPCO Broke the Record of Large OD Casing Well Running Depth in China

Yuanshen-1 well that located in Sichuan Oilfield of Sinopec Corp., was designed  at depth of 8,680 meters. Being the deepest marine well in southern China, Yuanshen-1 well encountered several drilling difficulties, such as ultra-deep, ultra-high pressure, ultra-high temperature, sour contents, and etc. In order to ensure the safety and reliability of the casing pipes under such a complicated application and construction conditions, TPCO R&D engineers have specially worked out a customized design for the Yuanshen-1 well. The technical service team was also engaged in the whole process of the well drilling and completion by providing all necessary technical  supports.

Yuanshen-1 well first open downhole  was well completed at its depth of 3,330 meters, which has become the deepest onshore oil well with large OD casing in China. Among all OCTG pipes that used in Yuanshen-1 well are supplied by TPCO.

With the large OD anti-corrosion casing  used in Yuanshen-1 well  successfully, it further consolidates TPCO's leading position for ultra-deep complex wells in China.
