TPCO Supply Department Increased Steel Scrap’s Consumption to Decrease Cost.

In 2017, the government issued polices to ban ground of steel and medium-frequency furnaces, which leaded to a substantial increase in steel scrap’s supply and presented a trend of oversupply in the whole year. Comparing with iron melt, high quality steel scrap has more cost advantages. 

From this year, TPCO Supply Department grasps the opportunity of steel scrap’s adequate supply, increases purchase quantity and consumption to reducing furnace cost. In the first five months of this year, purchase quantity of steel scrap attained a year-on-year growth of 72.98%, the cost per ton of steel into the furnace decreased RMB 73.00.
