Hot commissioning of the No. 5 heat treatment line get ahead

The hot commissioning of the No. 5 heat treatment line in TPCO Pipe Finishing Plant started on December 15th, 2008, in accordance with the time schedule of the project. Mr. Yan Zesheng,the president of TPCO Group Corporation went to the site to witness the start-up of the commissioning. This new line is aiming at meeting the market demand for special and high value-added seamless pipe. All equipments are manufactured locally with the co-operation of TPCO’S own machinery company, except the inspection equipment which is imported from Germany. Compared with other four lines, the highlight of this heat treatment line is rotating immersion technique for quenching, which will greatly improve the quality of thick wall pipe and reduce the pipe deformation after quenching. Once this new heat treatment line is successfully put into the commercial production, TPCO can effectively enhance its competitiveness in high-end products.
